  • ABN Amro Asset Management is set to launch its first four funds. These include an equity fund, a monthly income plan, a dynamic debt fund and a floating rate fund.

    The offer for all funds open on August 9 and closes on September 3. The features of the funds are:

  • The equity fund will invest in a diversified portfolio of equity securities, with a bias towards large and medium-cap stocks.

    The fund offers dividend and growth options. The minimum application amount is Rs 5,000.

    An entry load of 2.25 per cent is charged for subscriptions less than Rs 5 crore; the entry load is waived for sums greater than Rs 5 crore. There is no exit load.

  • The monthly income plan will invest 85-100 per cent of its assets in debt and money market instruments.

    It offers growth and dividend options. The minimum application amount is Rs 5,000 in the case of a growth option and Rs 20,000 for the dividend options.

    There is no load charge during the initial offer period.

  • The dynamic debt fund will invest strictly in debt and money market instruments.

    The fund offers a regular plan and an institutional plan, along with dividend and growth options.

    The minimum application amount is Rs 5,000 and Rs 20,000 for the growth and dividend options respectively under the regular plan; for the institutional plan, the minimum amount is Rs 1 crore. There is no entry or exit load.

  • The floating rate fund will invest in floating rate debt instruments and fixed rate debt swapped for floating rate instruments.

    The fund offers regular and institutional plans, along with dividend and growth options.

    The minimum application amount is Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1 crore for the regular and institutional plans respectively. There is no entry or exit load.

  • SBI Mutual Fund is to launch SBI Emerging Sector Fund in August.

    The fund will invest in stocks belonging to emerging sectors such as BPO, auto ancillaries and biotechnology.
