Maruti plans customer loyalty scheme

Maruti plans to come out with a rewards scheme to retain its customers. This comes on the heels of the launch of the Toyota-ICICI Bank co-branded credit-card. Maruti has tied up with Indian Oil and Citibank for this scheme. Both new car buyers and existing customers are eligible to enrol for this programme for no additional obligation. Members of the scheme will be entitled to a credit of Rs 10,000 and will be awarded points for servicing, purchase of spares and other expenses. Customers will also be entitled to discounts on servicing, and can redeem the accumulated points for a discount of about Rs 20,000 on the purchase of their next car.
