Hero Honda's plans

Running short of assembly lines to match demand for its products, Hero Honda announced plans to set up a plant in Jaipur at a cost of Rs 320 crore. The two-wheeler maker said that it plans to commission the plant, which would have a capacity to produce five lakh units with a provision to expand it to 10 lakh units, within a year. Apart from its plants in Haryana, the Jaipur facility would be its third. The company also announced the launch of Glamour FI, which it said would be the first bike in the 125cc segment to be come with fuel-injection technology.
