The US subsidiary of Indian Hotels has announced the acquisition of 100 per cent stake in the San Francisco-based four-star Hotel Campton Place at $60 million (approximately Rs 250 crore). Astro All Asia Networks of Malaysia has announced its plan to pick up a 20 per cent stake in Sun TV's DTH operator Sun Direct TV for Rs 747 crore. The Hershey Company, the US-based chocolate company, has acquired 51 per cent in Godrej Beverages & Foods, valuing the Indian firm at about $60 million (approximately Rs 250 crore). Tantia Constructions has secured three orders worth Rs 151 crore for infrastructure projects in road and rail sectors in eastern India. Lanco Infratech has won the bid for three construction projects worth Rs 102 crore in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Gujarat State Petronet has signed a 15-year agreement with Reliance Industries to transport gas from Bharuch to the latter's refinery at Jamnagar in Gujarat. Educomp Solutions has received a letter of intent from the Government of Assam for implementing computer-aided learning in 100 high schools in the State. Kirloskar Brothers has received a $10.48-million order (approximately Rs 45 crore) from Jamaican National Water Commission for the supply of pumpsets. Financial Technologies has sold about 1 per cent stake in the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) to Dubai Multi-Commodities Centre (DMCC) for $12.5 million (Rs 55 crore). Mahindra Renault, the joint-venture between M&M and Renault, has announced the launch of Logan in India. Unilever India Exports has announced that it has reached an agreement to sell Sangam a non-store home delivery retail business to Wadhawan Food Retail with effect from March 31, 2007. Orchid Pharmaceuticals has received formal approval from the Canadian Therapeutic Product Directorate (TPD) for two of its drug applications. Ramco Systems has announced its plan to sell its subsidiary, Ramco Infotech Solutions, to TVS Interconnect Systems Ltd for an undisclosed sum. Symantec Corporation has announced its plan to launch its next generation security products in the country in two-three months. Sherwin-Williams, a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, has acquired the Indian paint company, Nitco Paints, at an undisclosed price. Fortis Healthcare has announced the acquisition of the Mumbai-based Hiranandani Hospital for Rs 25 crore.
