Bharti Airtel has announced an investment of $3.5 billion (approximately Rs 14,350 crore) in 2007-08 to upgrade/expand its telecom network across the country.

Bharati Shipyard has secured a contract worth $43.3 million (approximately Rs 177 crore) from UP Offshore (Bahamas) for the construction of two Platform Supply Vessels.

Punj Lloyd has bagged an order worth Rs 180 crore from Reliance Gas Transportation for the construction of gas pipeline and other facilities.

Emami group has announced the setting up of a bio-diesel plant in West Bengal with an investment of Rs 150 crore.
