HCL's `self-healing' computers

HCL had come out with a new series of laptops that are "self-healing computers''. The "Embedded Continuity and Control'' (EC2) technology that they are equipped with helps recover all data in less than a minute in case the laptop crashes due to a virus. This is achieved by automatically storing data in a back-up space in the machine and updating its own working state at regular intervals. Called `leaptops', their prices begin at Rs 27,990.
