Cars Marketing - Strategy Honda Accord recall
As part of a global Honda campaign, Honda Siel Cars India has announced a recall of 2,310 Accords sold in India in 2005 and 2006. Owners of these cars are being requested to bring their cars to the company's service centres for the replacement of the relay in the car's fuel-pump. The replacement would be carried out free of cost and the company is in the process of sending letters to the affected customers. A company communiqu‚ says that the dealerships have been updated about the replacement and that the new part has been dispatched to the dealerships for speedy execution. HSCI is carrying out the part replacement as part of a global exercise by Honda Motor Company to ensure stringent quality standards for its products. Being a customer-oriented company, Honda is proactively replacing the part even in vehicles that have experienced no problem at all. HSCI has also clarified that the relay problem does not in any way compromise the safety of the passenger. S. M.
