Cars Marketing - Strategy A sneak peek at Pa
This is a spy shot of Hyundai’s upcoming new, small car that will be positioned alongside the Santro Xing. The new car, to be christened iTen or i10, is likely to cost Rs 4-5 lakh and will compete with all the premium hatches that are currently available. The new car, code-named Hyundai Pa, was caught on camera while being tested on the East Coast Road, leading to Pondicherry from Chennai. The Pa is expected to be launched in the second week of November and Hyundai’s expectations from the car is high. While the first priority for Hyundai will be the domestic market for the car, the plant near Chennai is also likely to be the sole manufacturing hub for exports to major markets overseas where currently the Santro Xing is exported as the Atoz Prime. According to sources, in terms of dimensions, the new car will have a similar overall length and wheelbase as the Santro Xing. However, the width of the new small car is expected to be about 70mm more and it is also likely to be shorter than the Santro by about 40mm. The Pa could also sport a new, but similar sized, 1.1-litre petrol engine. S. Muralidhar More Stories on : Cars | Strategy
