After being in the “sell” mode for while, foreign institutional buyers showed signs of renewed interest, buying shares worth net Rs 1,740 crore in the last two days. The Government’s announcement that it would be approaching the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to kick-start safeguard negotiations after its Left allies agreed to the move, may alleviate political tensions to some extent.. good news for the markets!

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories will be replaced by DLF in the Sensex with effect from November 19, ending its seven-year reign in the benchmark index. Also, shares of Religare Enterprises will be listed on the bourses from Wednesday, November 21.
