Lotus Mutual has launched Lotus Mid N Small Cap Fund - a three year closed-ended equity scheme.

The fund will invest in equity and equity related instruments of mid and small cap companies.

Exposure in mid-cap companies will be in the range of 65-100 per cent while in the case of small cap companies it would be 5-40 per cent.

The market capitalisation of mid-cap companies would fall within the range of highest and lowest market cap in the CNX Midcap Index. For small-cap companies the range would be the within the highest and lowest market cap of BSE Small Cap Index.

The fund can invest 0-30 per cent in companies other than the above universe. In debt and money market instruments the investment range would be between 0-30 per cent.

The fund will offer two options growth and dividend. Minimum one-time investment is Rs 5,000.The fund will not charge entry load and exit load.

However if the fund is redeemed before the maturity of the scheme, investors will be charged balance proportionate unamortised issue expenses on the applicable NAV.

The fund is managed by Mr Tridib Pathak. NFO closes for subscription on February 19.

HDFC Mutual Fund has launched HDFC Infrastructure Fund a close-ended equity scheme.

The objective of the scheme is to seek long-term capital appreciation by investing in equity and equity related securities of companies engaged in or expected to benefit from growth and development of infrastructure.

The fund will invest 65-100 per cent in equity of infrastructure and infrastructure related companies 0-35 per cent in companies other than infrastructure.

The fund can invest 0-35 of the assets in debt and money market instruments.

The HDFC Infrastructure Fund will offer two options growth and dividend.

The fund offers only payout facility under the dividend option . The minimum one-time investment is Rs 5,000.

During the NFO the fund will not charge entry or exit load.
