Fund update

ING Investment Management India has launched its Latin America Equity Fund, an open-ended fund of funds scheme for Indian investors. The scheme will mainly invest in ING’s existing Luxembourg-based fund, seeking to provide investors long-term capital appreciation and exposure to countries that are among the fastest-growing economies.

During the NFO, the units will be priced at Rs 10 plus applicable entry load. Investors will have the choice of three options dividend, bonus and growth. The minimum application amount is Rs 5,000.The issue closes on July 10.

DBS Chola MF has announced the launch of DBS Chola Fixed Maturity Plan – Series 9 (13-month plan). The fund is a close-ended income scheme with an objective to generate regular returns and capital appreciation by investing in debt (including securitised debt), government and money market securities normally maturing in line with the time profile of the respective Plans.

The fund offers redemption facility on the maturity date without payment of any load. The new fund offer closes for subscription on June26. Redemptions before the maturity date will be subject to 2 per cent exit load. The fund offers retail and institutional plans. The minimum application amount is Rs 5000 and in multiples of Re 1 under the retail plan.

Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company has changed the name of the following schemes of Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund. With effect from June 23, the new names are:

Birla Sun Life Advantage Fund, Birla Sun Life Long Term Advantage, Birla Sun Life Indian Opportunities Fund, Birla Sun Life MNC Fund, Birla Sun Life Midcap Fund, Birla Sun Life Index Fund, Birla Sun Life Dividend Yield Plus and Birla Sun Life Index Fund.

Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund has extended Monthly Systematic Transfer facility for Birla Sun Life Century SIP with effect from June 19.

The eligible investors can transfer ‘out’ investment from any of the open-ended schemes of Birla Sun Life mutual fund except Birla Index Fund and transfer ‘in’ to any of the designated schemes of Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund for Century SIP.
