Vipul project in Bhubaneshwar

Vipul Ltd has entered the real estate market in the east with a project in the heart of Bhubaneshwar. According to a press release from the company, the project, Vipul Gardens, a 10-acre integrated residential complex with 578 residential units, is the first high-rise in the city offering ground plus 14 floors. This modern integrated residential complex will offer two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments. With a realisation value of around Rs 200 crore, the project is to be completed in the next three-four years.

Vipul has a presence in Gurgaon, Manesar, Dharuhera, Mohali, Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Siliguri and Kolkata.

The integrated project, a gated community, offers to its residents a club with gym, and a range of other facilities.

Tata to power Hirco’s Panvel SEZ

Tata Power is to provide power supply solutions and manage power distribution at Hirco’s Panvel SEZ. According to a press release, Hirco Developments Pvt Ltd, a residential property and mixed-use township developer, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tata Power, an integrated private power company, for this.

The release, quoting Mr Firdose Vandrevala, Chairman and Managing Director, Hirco Developments, says that the association with Tata Power will enhance Hirco’s ability to provide reliable power solutions to its customers. The integrated township project at Panvel will showcase a mix of modern residential units, offices, school, healthcare facilities, parks, shopping facilities, entertainment centres and more.

Hirco Group includes the various operations in India and the Middle East of Hiranandani, one of India’s largest residential builder.

Residential school at Marg project

Marg Ltd, a Chennai-based infrastructure company, has tied up with Bala Vidya Mandir, a reputed school in the city, to launch BVM Global, a residential school at Marg Swarnabhoomi, the mega infrastructure project and SEZ at Seekinakuppam village in Kancheepuram District.

According to a press release from Marg, BVM Global will cater to the needs of nuclear families, where both parents work five days a week. The school will facilitate children of such parents to spend their weekends with their families.

The school will come up in three phases — classes for Standard IV to VII will be operational for the batch commencing in July 2009; classes from Standards VIII to X, will be ready by May 2010; and classes from LKG to Standard III and Standards XI and XII will commence by May 2011. Admissions will open from February 16. Interested parents can contact BVM Global at Bala Vidya Mandir’s Adyar, Chennai, campus for enrolment, the release said.

The school in the non-processing zone of the engineering and multi-product SEZs at Marg Swarnabhoomi will be spread over 7.3 acres with world-class facilities for teaching and extracurricular activities. The non-processing zone will have up to 15,000 residential units, educational institutions, hospitals, shopping areas and other social and support infrastructure.

New line of kitchen cabinetry

Kohler co, a leader in kitchen and bath design, has launched a new line of kitchen cabinetry, according to a press release from the company.

The company opened its first exclusive kitchen showroom in Delhi earlier this week. The company has plans to open exclusive showrooms in Tier I and II cities across India targeting the mid- to high-end market segments with five new comprehensive kitchen solutions from site measurement to design and installation.

Kohler will offer turnkey solutions as it is collaborating with Whirlpool and Siemens. Kohler kitchens range from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 12 lakh. It also has a variant for an 8 ft by 10 ft kitchen with basic accessories, countertop, sink and faucet starting at Rs 3 lakh.

Premium apartments from XL Estates

XL Estates, a Chennai-based real estate developer has launched XL Woods a premium residential property with 176 apartments near Sriperumbudur to the west of Chennai.

According to a press release from the company, the two- and three-bedroom and luxury studio apartments are priced at Rs 1,950 a sq.ft and cost between Rs 13 lakh and 25 lakh. The project, scheduled for completion by July 2010, is being launched with a booking offer for the first 50 apartments — buyers can book houses for a token advance of Rs 10,000 and get car parking valued at Rs 1 lakh at no cost.
