Hope for the heart?

Here's a launch that could be of help to heart patients in the country. Boston Scientific Corporation (BSC), a medical company, has recently launched Express Stent, a laser cut balloon expandable stent, which is used by the medical fraternity during Angioplasty Procedures.

According to the company, this device is developed internally and features a completely new design concept called Tandem Architecture. Mounted on one of BSC's catheters, it is supposed to optimise flexibility, deliverability and vessel coverage characteristics.

Stent is introduced in the blocked arteries of the heart to prevent recurrence of blockages after balloon angioplasty. In fact the company expects it to become a platform for a family of coronary and vascular products. So, it there further hope for the heart?
