People Dutt has singing Plans
Sunjay Dutt took up the singing mike for Khubsoorat and Kaante. Now, he is all set to try out his vocal chords once again in Sanjay Gupta's film, Plan. And, since his singing has been appreciated, Dutt is keen to go on a singing rampage with Plan, which he is co-producing along with Gupta, according to www.celebnceleb.com.
Mandira begins musical innings
Music seems to be the in thing these days. Sunjay Dutt has company in TV star-turned-cricket-expert, Mandira Bedi. She is starting a fresh innings by appearing in a music video for the first time. The album, called Love And Peace, will feature Mandira in Global Child, the title track. The deadly combination of music and cricket continues with the man India can't have enough of - Sachin Tendulkar. Tendlya, who recently had the entire nation celebrating his 30th birthday with him, is getting a musical tribute from Keshav Rai, who will be directing a one-song video in Indore to be rendered by composer and singer, Udbhav Ojha. Singer Kavita Paudwal will be pitching in with Ojha. The lyrics have been penned by Suraj. Sachin, reportedly, may even agree to make a fleeting presence in the video. All the artistes will work for free in this labour of love, according to Celebnceleb.com.
Reeves joins $25-m club Warner Bros has offered Keanu Reeves $75 million to appear in three films, the London Sunday Times has reported, citing an unnamed industry insider. The newspaper said that one of the films could be a remake of the 1954 drama, Salt of the Earth, originally produced by a group formed of blacklisted figures in Hollywood. For an emotional film about labour unrest during the 1930s, Reeves would appear to be an odd choice. One reviewer has termed his performance in The Matrix Reloaded "vapid"; another referred to him as a "beloved block of wood".
To Sir, with apology
When Sidney Poitier and his wife, Joanna, walked up to the hostess at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills for brunch, the young woman asked for his name for the waiting list! According to www.starmagazine.com, he politely told her, and she asked, "Can you spell that?" Just then, the manager came rushing up and said: "Mr Poitier, we have a table for you right over here." The acclaimed actor was never less than the perfect gentleman.
Graf to be mom again
Tennis sensations Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi are having a sweet time again. An msn.com report said that they are set to become parents for the second time. The Las Vegas-based couple are expecting the baby in mid-November. Graf and Agassi were married in October 2001; they have a 19-month-old son, Jaden Gil.
Dicaprio gets back his girl
Hollywood star Leonardo Dicaprio is also seeing happy times. After a rocky relationship that included a broken engagement, it looks like model Gisele Bundchen and Dicaprio might be officially back together again. The indications came after Gisele performed a steamy dance number for him at a party in order to win his heart back, according to Msn.com.
Carrey returns to funny business
After trying his hand at serious drama in The Majestic, Jim Carrey is back to doing what audiences are comfortable with - Jim as a put-upon, average guy thrust into extraordinary circumstances. In Bruce Almighty, Carrey's latest which has zoomed to the top of the charts, he plays a TV reporter who has a bad day and curses God for his misfortune, only to be granted the privilege of ruling the world for a day. In an interview to Teenhollywood.com, Carrey said that the most important thing is to "never to overlook your talents, what you're good at. As long as a script sounds like a great creative challenge, it doesn't matter whether it's dramatic or comedic to me." He also said that other people might try to limit him, but he would never limit myself. "I think this movie is more about somebody being grateful for what they have. I just think it's about appreciating what you have as well as exploring." On the portrayal of God in the film, he says: "We've always tried to humanise Him, in some way. He's probably just a shaft of light in a doorway, or something like that. I think I wanted God in this thing to be the guy who is absolutely dignified and has this austere quality and this kind of no-nonsense-ness to Him, but at the same time has a sense of humour. Because God made our sense of humour." The ace comedian also spoke at length on where his faith came from. "You would not believe how amazing my life has been. Everything has had something to do with that power of faith. I do believe that the force is with us."
