Readymade Garments In your jeans
Roma Kapadia Batta The stylesSlim Fit: Just when we thought designers couldn’t possibly shrink their super-slender denim by another millimetre, along comes a little relief. For sure, stovepipe, cigarette and legging-like jeans are back in vogue. Wide Cut: Darker rinses and heavier gauge fabric help control the line. It’s definitely a fun and trend-right style, but it tends to work better on leggier frames. Flare: The best compromise from any patent style in pants, it’s snug from waist to knee, then widens gently to the ankle and flatters almost every figure. Bootcut: This is the most universally flattering style in “jeansville”. Not too loose, not too tight. The cut is relatively slender through hip, thigh and knee, then opening up just enough at the ankle to accommodate a boot. This style is ubiquitous and truly wearable! Plus Size: They come with innovations like tummy control, comfort waists, sexy stretch fabric and an attention to chic detail that was once reserved for the super-skinny set. Low Waist: It always gives a perfect fit. As the name suggests, it’s lower than the waist and is by far the flavour of the season! Trouser Style: This looks more at home in the boardroom or at a swanky cocktail party rather than on the range. Premium fabric blends, combined with detailed and precise tailoring, and grown-up colours like black and steely grey. Choosing rightTips from designer Shina Desai, who custom-makes jeans: If you’re really thin or skinny, the low-waist flared leg denim will give you a good shape. Back pockets add to the effect. If you have the pear shape then all cuts mostly work for you, but the boot cut would be your ideal pick. If you are on the plumper side, go for darker jeans sans pockets at the back and with a boot cut preferably. A flare is an absolute no! If you’re curvy then stretch denims are the perfect pair for you, as also the lighter shades. If you’re short and petite then go for slim fits or straight cuts. Avoid loose jeans or the wide or flare cut. If you have large hips, always try and wear wide-fit flared jeans in lighter colours and pair it with a longish top to make you look slimmer.
