Fitness Fusion

Tired of pounding in gyms, hammering on treadmills and hauling weights - try the hottest trend in fitness. Discovery Travel & Living’s new series, Fitness Fusion, will have you trim your waistline, help you shed unwanted kilos and smile as you do it. From Latin Groove and Brazilian dances like the Merengue and the Salsa step, to the Rumba and some sexy hip rolls, you’ll be adding your own flair and spicing up your workout in no time.

The series will feature a fusion of dance and exercise which , it promises, will "free the spirit and invigorate the body".

For the adventurous at heart, prepare yourself for spirited dances like Maculelê - a Brazilian stick fighting dance, Samba Reggae - a travelling carnival dance, and the popular Capoeira – a Brazilian dance form which combines elements of martial arts and games.

Each episode has been filmed in several exquisite settings, with attractive and experienced practitioners leading graceful routines. The channel promises that Fitness Fusion will be "a revitalizing ‘mind and body’ programme that will leave you rested and ready to live serenely in a hectic world."

So take a break, immerse yourself in the rhythms and add a little Salsa and Reggae to the workout regime this season to have a hip-swinging, calorie-burning, body-slimming good time.

Spice up your hectic lives.

Starting October 23, the Fitness Fusion series will air every Friday at 11p.m.
