Commercial stock photography provider brand ImagesBazaar will launch celebrity photos and videos for use mainly by advertisers in the next couple of months, Mr Sandeep Maheshwari, founder and CEO, Mash Audio Visuals Pvt Ltd, said here on Tuesday.
At present, over 7,000 clients from more than 45 countries are using ImageBazaar's images and videos exhibiting models for their advertising and marketing communication, he told reporters here. The celebrities will be paid 34 per cent royalty on each usage of their images and videos, he said.
Started in 2006 with a stock of nearly 8,000 images shot by 25 photographers, ImageBazaar now boasts more than a million images and videos shot by more than 10,000 photographers from across India, portraying around 20,000 models.
He said the company has now emerged as the world's largest bank of Indian visuals. It is also India's largest and the first stock photography entity to get credit rating agency ICRA's ‘SE 2A' rating for its performance. Financially, it has grown 4,000 times, from Rs 45 lakh to Rs 25 crore in the last four years, he said.
Currently selling about 2,000 images a month, priced between Rs 187 and Rs 64,000, ImageBazaar is now eyeing a third of the Rs 100 crore Indian market in this segment next year. The global market in stock photography is about USD two billion, he added.
