Sugar prices on the Vashi market declined by ₹10 at the lower side and ₹20 at the higher side on Friday due to sufficient and regular supply from producers. Naka rates were steady while tender rates were down by ₹10-15 a quintal. Sources said that activities on the spot market remained normal and routine as producers continued selling even at discount due to less demand. Vashi market continuously carries about 115-120 truck loads inventory which led stockists to have fresh commitments as per need. Arrivals were at 62-63 truck loads and local dispatches at 61-62 truck loads. On Thursday, only 12-14 mills offered tenders and sold 64,000-65,000 bags at ₹2,810-2,910 (₹2,820-2,920) for S-grade and ₹2,910-3,020 (₹2,920-3,030) for M-grade.
