Gur prices remain steady on restricted demand

The wholesale jaggery market ended on a steady note in the national capital on Sunday following restricted arrivals against sporadic demand.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also closed flat in the absence of any worthwhile moving factor.

Marketmen said little buying support and adequate stocks position mainly held prices unaltered.

The following are today’s quotations per quintal:

Gur chakku 3,300-3,350, pedi 3,450-3,550, dhayya 3,550-3,600 and shakkar 3,600-3,700.

Muzaffarnagar: Raskat 2,950-3,050, chakku 3,050-3,100 and khurpa N.T.

Muradnagar: Pedi 3,250-3,300 and dhayya N.T.
