With not much trading taking place in the market, dara and flour prices remained unchanged on Tuesday. Dara wheat and flour prices were ruling unchanged, said Satish Kumar, a wheat trader. Prices were unchanged due to sluggish domestic demand despite lower stocks, he said. Flour mills and small atta chakkis depend on arrivals from Uttar Pradesh only as their old stocks are getting over and there are no other stocks available in the market, he said. Uncertain weather over the last few days also affected the trade. In the physical market, dara quoted at Rs 1,510-1,520 a quintal. Around 50 tonnes of dara variety arrived from Uttar Pradesh and the stocks were directly offloaded at the mills. Mill delivery was Rs 1,510-1,515 while delivery at the chakki was Rs 1,520. Desi wheat was unchanged on low stocks and slack trading, quoted at Rs 1,900-2,020. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for Sep delivery decreased by Rs 4 and traded at Rs 1,610. Oct contracts were down by Rs 8 to Rs 1,546. Spot wheat traded at Rs 1,600. Wheat flour too ruled flat at Rs 1,510-1,520/90-kg bag.
