Sluggish demand and pressure of imported chana have dragged chana in the past one week by ₹200 with chana (kanta) today being quoted at ₹ 4,850, while chana (desi) ruled at ₹4,600, chana (mausmi)--₹4,900 and Kabuli Bitki at ₹5,500. Bearish sentiment prevailed in dollar chana with its prices in local mandis being quoted at ₹6,000-₹6,500 (down ₹300 from last week) amid arrival of 800-1,000 bags. In container dollar chana traded lower on weak export demand with dollar chana 42/44 count at ₹7,500-7,550, dollar chana (44/46 count) declined to ₹7,350, while dollar chana 58/60 count with 7.2% moisture ruled at ₹6,250 and dollar chana 60/62 count with 7.2% moisture was quoted at ₹6,150 a quintal respectively.
