Chana ruled stable on subdued buying and demand with chana (kanta) today being quoted at ₹2,925-50 a quintal, while chana (desi) ruled at ₹2,700 and chana (mausmi) at ₹2,800. Given adequate stock in chana both with the stockists and government agencies, any rise and fall in chana prices in the coming days depend on current crop report, said Sanjay Agrawal, a trader. Chana dal (average) was at ₹3,000-3,150, chana dal (medium) at ₹3,250-3,350, while chana dal (bold) ruled at ₹3,700-3,900. Dollar chana also ruled stable at ₹4,000-5,000 on subdued and scattered buying support. In container also, dollar chana 42/44 count was at ₹5,275-5,300, 44/46 count ₹5,075-5,100, 58/60 count ₹4,350-75, while 60/62 count was quoted at ₹4,250-75 a quintal.
