The price of the coconut oil has touched high. The price of the coconut oil has increased and it has touched ₹2,900 to 3,000 for a quantity of fifteen kilogram at the crushing place. All the crushers have increased the price due to the increase of the copra said RM Palanisamy a trader. He said copra price was increased for the past couple of days and it is selling at ₹13,800 to 14,400 a quintal. The farmers said that they are having some limited stock of copra with them and are selling only fifty per cent of their stock. The oil crushers said that they are not getting any demand for the prevailing price. Only local traders are buying the oil for their supply to retailers.
