Release of pepper held in exchange warehouses for long pulled spot pepper prices down further on Friday, market sources told BusinessLine .
On the terminal market 10 tonnes were traded. Spot prices declined further, by ₹100 a quintal, to close at ₹49,100 (ungarbled) and ₹51,100 a quintal (garbled).
June and July contracts on the IPSTA were steady at ₹52,000 a quintal each.
Indian export prices were at $8,150 a tonne c&f for Europe and $8,400 a tonne c&f for the United States.
