Cotton prices remained unchanged on limited demand from mills. Arrival was down as most of the sales centres were closed. Kapas or raw cotton was marginally lower on weak ginning demand. Gujarat Sankar-6 new cotton fetched ₹32,500-700 per candy of 356 kg while old cotton stood at ₹33,500-34,000. About 1,000 bales of 170 kg each arrived in Gujarat and 5,000 bales arrived in India. Kapas declined by ₹5 to ₹750-800 per 20 kg and gin delivery kapas was quoted at ₹800-830.
