Cotton prices moved down as Nilofar cyclone ended without any damage in Gujarat. Moreover, weak demand also pressurised the price. Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton was down ₹500 to ₹32,900-33,200 per candy of 356 kg. Kapas or raw cotton was also down ₹10-15 in Saurashtra. Kapas was quoted at ₹800-830 for a maund of 20 kg and gin delivery kapas was at ₹830-840. Cottonseed lost ₹5 to ₹390-405.
