Cotton prices moved down as demand from domestic mills decreased. Kapas or raw cotton was also traded down on slack demand from ginners. Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton declined by ₹100 to ₹32,800-33,200 per candy of 356 kg. Arrivals improved during the week from 25,000 bales to 35,000 bales (of 170 kg) in Gujarat. About 1.90 lakh bales arrived in India. Kapas lost ₹5 to ₹790-810 for a maund of 20 kg. Gin delivery kapas stood at ₹810-820. Cotton seed was down ₹5 to ₹335-342.
