Prices of tur dal, moong dal, gram dal, maida and sooji declined, while other commodities remained unaltered at the wholesale foodgrains market during the week under review.
Tur dal opened at Rs 7,400 per quintal, remained at its previous rate till Thursday, but went down to Rs 7,000 from Friday onwards.
Moong dal opened the week at Rs 7,700 per quintal, a decline of Rs 100 from its previous rate, and moved down further to Rs 7,600 on Friday to end at the same rate. Gram dal declined by Rs 200 per quintal to 5,300.
In addition, maida and sooji (both 90 kg) ended the week with a net loss of Rs 100 each from their previous week’s rates of Rs 2,300 and Rs 2,400, respectively.
Prices of urad dal, sugar and wheat ruled steady throughout the week.
