The sentiment in the spot edible oils market was positive on Monday considering the low prices despite limited buying and weak futures. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, major edible oils ruled steady. Vikram Global Commodities (P) Ltd, Chennai, quoted ₹530/10 kg for October delivery of Malaysian super palmolein. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹498-500, super palmolein ₹530 and soyabean refined oil ₹612. Ruchi traded palmolein for ₹498, soyabean refined oil ₹610 and sunflower refined oil ₹615. Allana was quoting palmolein for ₹510, super palmolein ₹535, soyabean refined oil ₹610 and sunflower oil ₹630.
In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin declined to ₹1,345 (₹1,365) and loose (10 kg) dropped to ₹860 (₹870).
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 890 (890), soya refined oil 605 (605), sunflower exp. ref. 560 (560), sunflower ref. 620 (620), rapeseed ref. oil 712 (712), rapeseed expeller ref. 682 (682) cottonseed ref. oil 630 (632) and palmolein 498 (498).
