Chana and its dal ruled stable in Indore mandis on subdued demand with chana (kanta) on Tuesday being quoted at ₹2,900-25 a quintal, chana (desi) ruled at ₹2,700, Kabuli Bitki at ₹2,800-2,900, while chana (mausmi) was quoted at ₹3,000-3,200.
Given rise in festive demand for chana dal and besan in the coming days, bearish sentiment in chana appears unlikely, said Rahul Vora, a local chana trader. Chana dal (average) was being quoted at ₹3,200-50, chana dal (medium) at ₹3,350-3,500, while chana dal (bold) ruled at ₹3,700-3,900.
Dollar chana ruled firm at ₹4,500-5,200 on scattered buying. Arrival of dollar chana in Indore mandis was recorded at 2,500-3,000 bags.
