Major edible oils extended their gains for the third consecutive day on Tuesday, tracking firm overseas reports. The Malaysian market was closed but Chicago soya oil’s projection after previous day's gain pushed up domestic soya oil futures. Refiners increased their rates by ₹5/10 kg, reflecting in rise on the Bombay Commodity Exchange.
On the BCE, barring groundnut all other edible oils gained in the range of ₹3-8. During the day, about 700-750 tonnes of palmolein and 100-150 tonnes of sunflower oils were bought by local traders, sources said. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹505-507, super palmolein ₹530, soyabean refined oil ₹605. Ruchi was quoting at palmolein at ₹504, soyabean refined oil ₹597 and sunflower refined oil ₹600. Allana was quoting palmolein at ₹510, super palmolein ₹535, soyabean refined oil ₹600 and sunflower oil ₹605.
In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut Telia tin was up ₹10 to ₹1,190 and loose (10 kg) by ₹10 to ₹760.
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 785 (785), soya refined oil 600 (592), sunflower exp. ref. 550 (545), sunflower ref. 605 (600), rapeseed ref. oil 730 (726), rapeseed expeller ref. 700 (696) cottonseed ref. oil 635 (630) and palmolein 503 (500).
