On the back of moderate demand from stockists and local brands, both groundnut oil and cotton oil remained unchanged on Tuesday. Buying activity in retail market was limited. Traders said that this time the festival demand is low but it is expected to improve from next week as arrival of new crop is increasing which may pressurise the price. At Rajkot, groundnut oil loose was traded at ₹745-750 for 10 kg. Jamnagar line telia was at ₹1,165-66 for 15 kg. New tin of groundnut oil remained unchanged at ₹1,320-25 for 15 kg. About 3-4 tankers of groundnut oil were traded in Saurashtra’s mills. On the other hand, demand in cotton oil decreased though price remained steady. Washed cotton oil stood at ₹600-603 for 10 kg and new tin was quoted at ₹1,070-90 for 15 kg. About 15 tankers of cotton oil were traded here.
