On the back of higher arrivals in spot market and profit booking by traders, castorseed futures declined on Wednesday. However, spot price firmed up as export demand increased at the lower level. On the NCDEX, castor May contract declined ₹33 to ₹3,969 . NCDEX June contract lost ₹36 to ₹4,028 a quintal. On the Rajkot Commodity Exchange, June castorseed contract moved down ₹27 to ₹3,993. RCX spot castorseed was up ₹37.50 to ₹3,812.50. According to traders, arrival of new castorseed isover 1 lakh bags in Gujarat which may pressurise the spot price in coming days. Buyers are also expecting some downfall in the price. About 98,000-100,000 bags arrived in Gujarat at ₹755-765 for a maund of 20 kg. Around 7,800-8,000 bags arrived in Saurashtra for ₹740-750. Castor oil gained ₹5 at ₹795/10 kg.
