Cotton oil gained on the back of higher rate of cottonseed and strong retail demand. Groundnut oil was unchanged on restricted buying. Traders said that short supply of the seed has restricted the crushing in cotton oil which increased the prices . Washed cotton oil was up ₹5 to ₹580-583 per 10 kg and cotton oil new tin was up ₹20 to ₹1,020-40 per 15 kg. About 45 tankers of cotton oil were traded in Saurashtra’s mills.
Groundnut oil loose stood at ₹940-945 per 10 kg, Jamnagar line telia was ₹1,457-58 per 15 kg and groundnut oil new tin was quoted at ₹1,675-80 per 20 kg. About 2-3 tankers of groundnut oil were traded here.
