The four turmeric markets in Erode received a good quantity and the price of the hybrid variety saw an increase. . At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association sales yard the finger turmeric sold at ₹8,789-10,529 a quintal, root variety sold at ₹8,400-9,600 a quintal. Of the arrivals of 4,851 bags 3,350 were sold. At the Regulated market Committee the finger turmeric fetched ₹8,591-10,297 a quintal, root variety sold at ₹8,567-9,777 a quintal.
