Even as new moong started hitting local mandis, government's move to put curb on import of moong along with tur has lifted moong prices as well with moong (old) quoted at ₹4,800-5,000 a quintal, while moong (medium) ruled at ₹4,200. New moong on the other hand was quoted at ₹5,250 a quintal. Moong dal (medium)quoted at ₹5,900-6,000, moong dal (bold) at ₹6,100-6,200 (up 500 from last week), while moong mongar ruled at ₹6,500-6,700 a quintal.
Urad (bold) quoted at ₹4,700- 4,800 (up ₹300 from last week), while urad (medium) ruled at ₹3,800-4,000. Urad dal (medium) quoted at Rs ₹6,300-6,400 a quintal (up ₹500 from last week), urad dal (bold) at ₹6,500-6,600, while urad mongar ruled at ₹6,900-7,000.
On the other hand decline in buying support at higher rate dragged tur with tur (Maharashtra) quoted at ₹4,500, while tur (Madhya Pradesh) ruled at ₹4,000 a quintal. Tur dal (sawa no.) quoted at ₹6,200-6,300, while tur dal (full) ruled at ₹6,600-6,900 a quintal respectively.
