A mixed trend was seen in the edible oils market on Tuesday. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, imported palmolein and soyabean refined oil ruled unchanged while indigenous oils such as groundnut, sunflower and rapeseed oil declined by ₹5/10 kg each as new kharif arrivals have started in producing areas. Cotton refined oil dropped by ₹11.
Vikram Global Commodities (P) Ltd, Chennai, quoted ₹532/10 kg for October delivery of Malaysian super palmolein. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹500-502, super palmolein ₹532 and soyabean refined oil ₹610. Ruchi traded palmolein at ₹505, soyabean refined oil ₹597 and sunflower refined oil ₹601. Allana’s rates: palmolein ₹520, super palmolein ₹545, soyabean refined oil ₹610 and sunflower oil ₹620. In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia was ₹1,185 (₹1,185) and loose (10 kg) ₹755 (₹755).BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 780 (785), soya refined oil 602 (602), sunflower exp. ref. 570 (575), sunflower ref. 610 (615), rapeseed ref. oil 725 (730), rapeseed expeller ref. 695 (700) cottonseed ref. oil 627 (638) and palmolein 502 (502).
