In edible oils, spot and futures witnessed a mixed trend on Thursday. On the BCE, spot rates were steady barring palmolein which was up ₹1. On the NCDEX, soya oil futures gained ₹4-4.50 in line with bullish overseas markets. Malaysian palm oil closed higher for the second consecutive day. Liberty’s rates: palmolein ₹590, super palmolein ₹618 and soyabean refined oil ₹675. Ruchi’s rates: palmolein ₹588. Golden Agri and Emami were quoting palmolein at ₹590. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin ruled flat at ₹1,490 and loose (10 kg) was at ₹950. BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 1,000 (1,000), soya ref. 670 (670), sunflower exp. ref. 665 (665), sunflower ref. 725 (725), rapeseed ref. 870 (870), rapeseed exp. ref. 840 (840), cottonseed ref. 665 (665) and palmolein 574 (573).
