The edible oils market witnessed a mixed trend on Wednesday, tracking weak futures amid need-based physical demand. As stockists bought over 3,500-4,000 tonnes of edible oils the previous day, the volume was limited. Local refineries kept their rates unchanged. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, groundnut and soyabean refined oil ruled steady while sunflower, rapeseed and palmolein declined by ₹5, ₹5 and ₹2 for 10 kg each. Cotton oil rose by ₹5. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹481-484 and super palmolein at ₹504. Ruchi traded palmolein at ₹481, soyabean refined oil ₹620 and sunflower refined oil ₹640. Allana’s rates: palmolein ₹482, soyabean refined oil ₹621 and sunflower oil ₹645.
In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin was up ₹30 to ₹1,580 and loose (10 kg) was at ₹1,000 (₹990).
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 980 (980), soya refined oil 620 (620), sunflower exp. ref. 590 (600), sunflower ref. 635 (640), rapeseed ref. oil 745 (750), rapeseed expeller ref. 715 (720), cottonseed ref. oil 565 (560) and palmolein 481 (483).
