As arrival of summer crop increased, price of groundnut was under pressure. Moreover, weak demand from local brands also weighed.Though groundnut oil remained steady in retail market traders said that the price may go down in coming days. Groundnut oil loose declined ₹5 to ₹910-915 per 10 kg, Jamnagar line telia was down by ₹10 to ₹1,412-1,413 per 15 kg and groundnut oil new tin was at ₹1,630-1,640 per 20 kg. About 2-3 tankers of groundnut oil were traded here.Daily arrival of new groundnut has been noted about 20,000 bags a day and it will increase further in coming days. Washed cotton oil traded flat at ₹575-₹578 per 10 kg and cotton oil new tin was ₹1,000-1,040 per 15 kg. About 30 tankers of cotton oil were traded in Saurashtra’s mills.
