Improved buying and rise in soya oil prices have lifted mustard oil prices in mandis across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat in the last one week with mustard oil prices in Indore mandis today being quoted at ₹667 for 10 kg (up ₹9 from last week). In Kota and Ganga Nagar mandis, it was quoted at ₹680 each (up ₹10 from last week).
Given depleting stocks, decline in acreage in Madhya Pradesh and improved demand for mustard oil during the winter season, bearish sentiment in mustard oil appears unlikely in near future, said Kailash Agrawal, a mustard seeds broker.
Amid arrival of 1.15 lakh bags of mustard seeds across the country, mustard seeds prices in the physical market today was quoted at ₹4,100, while raida ruled at ₹3,000. Plant deliveries for Jaipur line were also quoted higher at ₹3,725-30 a quintal. Our Correspondent
