Mustard oil in Indore mandis ruled firm on subdued demand and buying on Thursday. In Indore mandis, mustard oil ruled at ₹667 (up ₹7 from last week) for 10 kg, while it was ₹660 in Neemuch and ₹675 in Morena. Following heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh and its neighbouring States , demand for mustard oil from pickle manufacturers has increased, leading to steep rise in prices in the last fortnight.

In Rajasthan mandis also, mustard oil has been trading higher on improved buying and weak arrival of mustard with prices in Kota and Ganga Nagar ruling at ₹675 (up ₹15 from last week). Similarly, it ruled at ₹690 in Jaipur (up ₹10 from last week). In Gujarat, mustard oil was at ₹655 (up ₹5 from last week). According to traders, the bullish trend in mustard oil will continue on weak arrival of mustard and rise in buying support from pickle manufacturers during the rainy season. Plant deliveries for Jaipur line also ruled higher at ₹3,705-10 (₹3,680-8) on improved demand from crushers.

Mustard ruled firm at ₹4,200-60 (up ₹100 from last week), while raida ruled at ₹3,050 a quintal.
