Both pulse seeds and pulses are witnessing sluggish trend in Indore mandis on slack demand and buying support. Arrival of new crop has also dragged tur prices in local mandis over the past one week by ₹150 a quintal with prices of tur (Maharashtra) declining to ₹5,650, while tur (Karnataka) ruled at ₹5,450 and tur (Madhya Pradesh) ₹4,500-4,800. Given the steady rise in arrival of new crop, sluggish trend will likely to continue in the coming days. However, given the prospects of a lower crop on account of a lower sowing area, the outlook for tur appears bullish, said Prakash Vora, a local pulse trader.
Tur dal (full) was quoted at ₹7,000-7,550, tur dal (sawa no.) ₹6,600-6,900, while tur marka ruled at ₹7,650-8,100.
