Edible oils prices on the Bombay Commodity Exchange extended gains on Wednesday tracking firm futures and low arrivals of domestic crops at producing centres. On the spot, local refineries raised rates for soya oil and palmolein by ₹12 and ₹3 for 10 kg each. Sunflower and cotton refined oil increased by ₹5 and ₹4 each. In Mumbai, palmolien crossed ₹500-mark and soya oil ₹600 level, last seen in first week of March.
Liberty traded palmolein at ₹505 JNPT, super palmolein ₹535, soyabean refined oil ₹605. Ruchi was quoting palmolein for ₹503 JNPT, soyabean refined oil ₹597, sunflower refined oil ₹690. Allana’s rates: palmolein ₹505 JNPT, super palmolein ₹540, soyabean refined oil ₹595 and sunflower oil ₹695. In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin ruled steady at ₹1,515 and loose (10 kg) at ₹960.
