Pepper prices continued to rule steady on Tuesday on limited activities. There was no arrival of pepper on the terminal market here today. High Range sellers were offering at ₹700a kg while those in Pulpally Bathery (Wayanad) were nominally quoting ₹685.
Pepper from plains was being offered at ₹675. Karnataka sellers have reportedly raised their price to ₹695-700 . On the IPSTA platform, October and November contracts remained unchanged while December and January closed lower by ₹1,000 a quintal. Spot prices were steady at ₹67,800 (ungarbled) and ₹70,800 (garbled). Export prices were at $12,000 a tonne cf for Europe and $70,800 for the US.
