Spot pepper prices were steady on Wednesday on matching demand and supply. Sellers were limited. Buyers were ready but at current levels. Sellers were asking for higher rates while buyers were hesitant. Today, 25 tonnes arrived that were all traded at the prevailing rates. Exporters were covering against their sales. Domestic demand was also good. On the IPSTA platform active contracts were steady at previous levels. On the terminal market spot prices also remained unchanged. Export prices were at $10,400 a tonne c&f for prompt shipments, while February was at $9,400 and March/April at $9,000.
