Selling pressure, coupled with some calculated move to pull the market down, resulted in the spot prices falling on Wednesday also. Active contracts on the IPSTA platform were steady at previous levels. On the spot, 28 tonnes of pepper arrived and that were traded today. Spot prices fell further by ₹200 a quintal to ₹69,800 (ungarbled) and ₹72,800 (garbled). Export prices declined to $12,000 a tonne cf for Europe and $12,250 for the US.
