Despite good demand in spot market, castor futures decreased on the back of profit booking by traders. Castor oil remained steady while spot price gained on tight supply.
On the NCDEX, castor February contract declined ₹84 to ₹3,999 a quintal.
On the Rajkot Commodity Exchange (RCX), castor March contract dropped ₹53 to ₹4,040 a quintal. RCX spot castor gained ₹24 to ₹3,882.50.
Castor oil remained flat at ₹810 for 10 kg. About 20,000-22,000 bags of castor seed arrived in Gujarat and prices were up a tad by ₹3 to ₹778-785.
