Spot turmeric prices increased at erode markets on Monday due to arrival of medium quality.
“Arrivals have decreased to 1,800 bags and the buyers quoted higher prices and purchased 55 per cent stocks. Though they are not getting huge orders from North India, most of the traders are receiving scattered demand from various places in India and so they are buying selective stocks by giving importance to quality,” said RKV Ravishankar, President, Erode Turmeric Merchants Association.
