After a brief lull, prices of both pulses and pulse seeds are hitting through the roof in Indore mandis with arrivals being on the lower side compared to demand. Besides, predictions of less than normal rainfall has also added to the bullish trend.
Masur (bold) prices further rose to ₹5,950 (up ₹100) a quintal, while masur (Madhya Pradesh) was quoted at ₹5,650 (up ₹50). Masur dal (medium) rose to ₹6,659-6,850, while masur dal (bold) ruled at ₹6,950-7,050.
Uptrend also continued in urad with demand outstripping arrivals. On Friday, urad (bold) rose to ₹7,500-7,600 (up ₹500 in the last week), while urad (medium) ruled at ₹7,000-7,200. Urad dal (medium) went for ₹8,700-8,800, urad dal (bold) at ₹9,000-9,100, while urad mongar ruled at ₹10,000-500.
Moong (bold) traded at ₹7,400, while moong (medium) ruled at ₹7,000. Moong dal (medium) went for ₹9,100-9,300, moong dal (bold) ₹9,400-9,500, while moong mongar ruled at ₹9,700-10,000 respectively.
